We are dealing with a lower-middle-range mobile, so its construction materials do not stand out for their solidity and quality. The Wiko View 4 is built in plastic and, sometimes, when we press the volume or lock side buttons, we notice how this plastic moves, as if it were not properly adjusted to the body of the terminal.

As for the color in the Wiko View 4 they continue betting on its tones iridescent. The model of Wiko View 4 that we have tested what they call cosmic blue, that when the light is reflected we can see a rainbow on the back of the phone. On the sides, the color changes. It is metallic pink at the top and gradually smokes as it falls. On the web we can see this model in two more colors, one light pink and one green, but only cosmic blue is available to buy.

The front camera is located on a night in the center. It doesn’t have a fingerprint reader, neither on screen nor at the top. But we do have facial recognition.

As for connections we have a mini-jack for the headphones on the top and the most surprising thing, USB-2 for the charging connector. It had been years since I had seen a new mobile phone that kept the USB-2 and I was very surprised.

In the back we find the three cameras aligned along with the flash.

The 6.52-inch screen and its weight of 180 grams make it very light and comfortable to handle.

The Wiko View range stands out for its wide screen that allows you to enjoy multimedia content without barriers. As we have said, the screen is 6.52 inch, with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels. The side frames are very small, the largest is the bottom and does not reach an inch. The screen is HD +, 450 nits, with a proportion of 20: 9, so when it comes to viewing multimedia content on it it is very comfortable.

When viewing multimedia content, the screen responds quite well. Balanced color temperature, enough sharpness and more detail than I expected. It will not be a terminal that will conquer us for its high-quality screen, but It responds quite well and fits its price.

We have a front camera of 8MP and x4 optical zoom and three 13MP rear (main and f / 2.0 aperture) + 2MP (depth) + 5MP and f / 2.2 aperture (114º Wide Angle) and a depth sensor with 2 megapixel image size. We are facing cameras with very tight specifications. The View 4 will take decent photos, which can be good with plenty of light and outdoors.

The camera software incorporates the artificial intelligence from google that automatically adjusts the parameters according to what we want to photograph. In normal mode we can put filters before taking the photo or select the proportions of the image. In addition to an HDR mode, which is activated automatically, it also has a professional mode. The width of the lens range is adjustable before taking the picture and has access to Google Lens. We can also adjust the blur before taking the photo, but it is only available on the main camera.

Beauty mode is also adjustable, for both the front and rear cameras. We have different fun masks and we can adjust skin tones to the level we want.

In video mode we can record at 1080P or 720P, we also have Time Lapse and slow motion.

Battery and performance

This section are the lights and shadows of the Wiko View 4. On the one hand, the battery is as good as it promises, yes, it can last up to three days with normal use, two and a half days if we use it a little more intensively. To achieve this, it has a 5,000 mAh Lithium Polymer battery. On the other hand, its load is only 10W, so that in order to give us functional use, you will have to charge for at least an hour to get 50% of the battery.

On the performance side we have a mediatek A25 chipset, an 8-core CPU up to 1.8 GHz and a Power GE832 GPU. With these specifications we find a mobile that can not be expected to boast. It works well for WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or email, but it has some loading jumps when we use Chrome or Spotify.

With these specifications and its powerful battery, it is a suitable mobile for those people who do not depend on it, either on a personal or professional level and who spend long periods of time detached from it, so they can forget to charge it.

As for the storage is 64 GB expandable with microSD cards, pretty decent.

The Wiko View 4 comes with Android 10 with hardly any bloatware, just a few Wiko applications to adjust some of its own features or access technical support. Within the Configuration section we have the “Wiko Features”, in which we can adjust some of the phone’s own functions. Here are the facial recognition options, the game mode, the easy mode, the three-finger gesture to take screenshots, the adjustment of the navigation bar and the notch. In one section are gestures to go to the camera, system navigation that can be by gestures or buttons and quick access to silence the phone.

It also includes a side button for quick access to the Google assistant, which allows us to “talk” to Android and program some functions such as appointments, reminders or alarms.

You could say that there is a smartphone for each color. Each user can have the mobile that they really need according to the budget they have. The Wiko View 4 is in a low mid-range both in performance and price, but it excels in battery. If I had to do an X-ray of the user of this mobile I would say that he is a person so that the mobile is not something vital, if not functional, who has a very busy day to day that does not allow him to charge the mobile very often and runs the danger of running out of battery at the least indicated times. But the normal thing is that this type of person, and anyone who spends a little budget on their smartphone, is usually not very careful with it, which is why falls and their consequent breaks are frequent. So it would not be a recommended smartphone for people who are not careful or confused with the mobile.
