True Wireless headphones have continued to gain presence since the successful arrival of Apple AirPods, causing a gradual disappearance of the 3.5mm jack headphone jacks. While the fight for these types of audio accessories has generally focused primarily on branding and design, the Huawei Freebuds 3i They seem to have found a way to combine high-end features with more affordable prices.

It is interesting that Huawei has decided to call it FreeBuds 3i, which suggests a minor update to the current FreeBuds 3. And it is that, to a certain extent, it seems that Huawei is finally beginning to draw a dividing line with respect to the design of the AirPods, now opting to imitate the Airpods Pro, and maintaining its characteristic “stick” or protruding arm structure.

Inside, however, it is where we truly begin to see the most interesting features, highlighting the presence of an active noise cancellation (ANC) system, normally limited to the higher ranges and prices, and one of the still great absences of the Samsung Galaxy Buds +.

On the other hand, the Freebuds 3i will maintain the tactile controls of the headphones, also equipping a system of three microphones to capture your voice from the outside and the inside of your ear, improving the quality of the outgoing audio as necessary.

Although the internal audio will be slightly affected, reduced this time to a 10mm driver, notably smaller than the 14 mm present in the original model. So we will also notice a small reduction in battery life, with 3 and a half hours of autonomy to which we can add up to 14 and a half hours through the case.

Finally, and one of the most interesting points of the new FreeBuds 3i, the new wireless headphones would have already been listed on the official website of Huawei in the United Kingdom, at a price of 90 pounds, slightly exceeding 100 euros to change. In this way, in addition to assuming good savings compared to FreeBuds 3, the Chinese company would manage to further distance itself from AirPods and Galaxy Buds +, also considering the differentiating feature of ANC technology itself.

At the moment, no date or availability has been announced for our, although Huawei is expected to update this information in the coming days.
