More than half a year has passed since for the first time, Riot announced the arrival of a whole new series of games around his successful League of Legends universe, among which he highlighted League of Legends Wild Rift, the long-awaited mobile version of MOBA. So, with an imminent launch expected for the next few weeks, the company has already revealed the minimum requirements that our phone must meet in order to play it.
Unfortunately, beyond a conventional listing, the announcement has been made through a Twitter post, in which its own developers claim that: “with the aim of creating a comfortable LoL experienceWe are still working on the minimum requirements that we will have at launch. We want the game to be available on as many devices as possible, without compromising Wild Rift gameplay«.
In this way, minimum requirements are advanced such as a memory RAM of at least 1.5 GB, a Qualcomm processor Snapragon 410 or of similar power, and a Ardeno 306 GPU. Although the versions of the supported operating systems have not been specified yet, in the case of Apple devices, League of Legends Wild Rift will work from the phones iPhone 6 onwards, thus setting the scale in iOS 8.
What is League of Legends Wild Rift?
If you don’t already know it, League of Legends Wild Rift is an almost identical mobile version of the popular MOBA for PC. And it is that, as Riot herself stated previously, it is a game completely rebuilt «from scratch». Thus, among the first images shown, we find a completely different interface and adapted to the experience on these small screens, and above all, to the absence of keyboard and mouse.
In this way, the experience is designed to offer us faster games in keeping with the mobile gaming style (dependent on battery and overheating from long sessions of demanding use), but will keep the essence of and gameplay of League of Legends, and his main 5v5 map, Summoner’s Rift. Finally, while the game “only” will feature 40 of the LoL champions, it has already been confirmed that these will be expanded in the future.
However, despite the essence of the game being mainly the same as the original League of Legends, it’s not the same game. And it is that the great differentiation of League of Legends Wild Rift is that it will only be available for mobile, so unlike other games like Fortnite or PUBG, nor we will have a cross game with PC players.
Currently, the first closed alphas for Android have been started in the territories of the Philippines or Brazil, although it is expected that this free online multiplayer will continue to open its access to other territories for the next few days, so we recommend that you register beforehand. to keep you informed of all the news of availability.
