Announced last summer, it appears that the arrival of HBO Max is already something imminent. And is that if HBO, HBO Go and HBO Nowel were not enough streaming video services for a single company, now we will have a new segmentation aimed at facing Hulu, Apple TV +, Netflix, and the newcomer Disney +.
As HBO Max herself has revealed through her official Twitter account, this new service will launch at the end of next month, dating its simultaneous arrival around the globe. next May 27.
Thus, HBO Max will work in the same way as other streaming platforms and services, generating some new original series around a huge catalog of franchises and classics.
As expected, this service will have all HBO shows, including hits like Westworld, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos or The Wire, among others; as well as some of the Warner Media Featured Programs such as Friends (for which a sequel is already being considered), The Prince of Belair, The Big Bang Theory, Rick and Morty, and all the contents of the DC Entertainment Universe.
On the other hand, we can also find some more targeted content for children with educational programs such as Sesame Street; animated series and films for young people with Cartoon Network, Crunchyroll, Adult Swim or the works of Studio Ghibli; while the most veteran will have a large selection of classic films such as Citizen Kane, or information programs and documentaries from CNN.
At the moment, the prices and rates with which HBO Max will arrive have not been disclosed, although it is expected to remain in line with the rest of the services, predicting thus a basic subscription close to 7 euros per month. However, the fact that the fragmentation of the entertainment world continues is causing the user to simply stop being able to pay for all these subscription services, forcing them to dispense with or replace these services with each other, or even ignore them.
And it is that after having taken a huge step against piracy, the current situation of saturation and abuse by companies is causing the return of these bad practices.
