Retro is more fashionable than ever and devices like Evercade want to take advantage of the nostalgic pull with a different console. The new machine will arrive in Spain on June 12 and will be available in two different versions, depending on the number of games included.

Evercade is a portable console capable of running classic video games from the 8 and 16 bit era. It has a 4.3-inch screen and supports both 4: 3 (best suited for retro) and 16: 9 formats. The included HDMI output allows you to connect it to a TV or monitor and enjoy games on the big screen.

The new platform reaches the market in two different versions: the starter pack which includes the Namco Museum Collection cartridge (with 11 sets) with a sale price of € 69.99 and the Premium Pack which includes three cartridges: Namco Museum Collection (with 11 games), Interplay Collection (with 6 games) and Atari Collection (with 20 games) with a price of € 89.99.

These are the contents included in the Starter pack:

NamcoCollection1 – BattleCars, DigDug, Galaxian, LibbleRabble, Mappy, MappyKids (Official translation), Metal Marines, PacMan, QuadChallenge, StarLuster, and Xevious.

The Premium pack includes:

Interplay Collection 1 – BattleChess, Boogerman, Clayfighter, Earthworm Jim, Incantation and Titan.
NamcoCollection1 – BattleCars, DigDug, Galaxian, LibbleRabble, Mappy, MappyKids (Official translation), Metal Marines, PacMan, QuadChallenge, StarLuster, and Xevious.
Atari Collection1 – Adventure (2600), Alien Brigade (7800), Aquaventure (2600), Asteroids (2600), Canyon Bomber (2600), Centipede (2600), Crystal Castles (2600), Desert Falcon (2600), Double Dunk (2600) , Food Fight (7800), Gravitar (2600), Missile Command (2600), Motor Psycho (7800), Night Driver (2600), Ninja Golf (7800), Steeplechase (2600), Swordquest Earthworld (2600), Tempest (2600 ), Video Pinball (2600) and Yars Return (2600).

At this point you may wonder if it is worth buying the Evercarde having so many Chinese console specialized in retro (in this article we review some of the best). Actually, the product plays in a somewhat different league, closer to the collecting and fetish of cartridges. In any case, the price is not excessive on a whim.
